Singapore’s office of intellectual property has announced its initiative to speed up blockchain patent approvals. The office released a statement which shows fast-tracking initiative seeks to shorten the patent-granting process to as low as 6 months from its supposed 2 years. This announcement was made by the Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Ministry of Trade and Industry and Ministry of Education, Low Yen Ling, on Thursday 26th April during the 2018 World Intellectual Property Day.

Samsung has patented its first iPhone X clone, complete with a notch at the top of its screen. This model of phone sports super-slim bezels all around its edge-to-edge display, with a notch that houses its front-facing camera and sensors along the top side. The device also features curved panels on its front and back, and a dual-lens rear-facing camera.
